Job summary

Kinect LLC seeks a hands-on IT Manager to oversee day-to-day technology operations, infrastructure, security, and IT staff across the organization. You will manage a small technical team while remaining actively involved in systems administration, upgrades, and vendor relationships.

The role requires leadership experience, strong IBM i and RPG skills, Windows environments, and expertise in security, backup, and disaster recovery. Onsite initially, with a plan to move to hybrid work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting IT operations with leadership or supervisory responsibility.
• Strong hands-on IBM i administration and RPG programming experience.
• Experience administering Windows environments, networks, service desk, and end-user systems.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace administration and security best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of network, server, desktop, and business systems infrastructure.
• Manage and develop a small IT team and contractors.
• Maintain IBM i, Windows, network, service desk, and related environments.
• Support RPG-based systems and application requirements.
• Lead hardware/software upgrades, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Develop backup, disaster recovery, security, and business continuity processes.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology purchases.
• Partner with senior management to identify technology needs and improve system effectiveness.
• Provide regular leadership updates on infrastructure, projects, risks, and priorities.
• Participate in hiring, training, and development of IT staff.
