Major Tool in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an IT Manager to lead the site IT team and oversee day-to-day IT operations, security, and reliability of systems. You will partner with the Director of IT on standardization, security, and integration initiatives.

The role requires extensive experience with Windows Server, AD, Azure, Intune, and virtualization, plus strong leadership and communication skills to drive initiatives at a manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred.
• 7+ years in system administration with Windows Server, AD, Azure, Intune, Defender, and virtualization platforms.
• 5+ years leading IT teams, formally or informally.
• Strong networking fundamentals (switches, routers, firewalls, VPN).
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to report to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop an IT team at the Major Tool site (servers, network, storage, endpoints).
• Own site level system administration for Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and backup/recovery.
• Manage site network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless, and WAN connectivity.
• Maintain endpoint management, patching, and antivirus/EDR coverage across all systems.
• Support CMMC 2.0 Level 2 compliance requirements at the site.
