Job summary

City of Woodstock, Illinois is seeking an Information Technology Manager to supervise a small but critical IT team and support planning of technology initiatives. This role oversees part-time staff, manages the IT infrastructure, security, and projects, and ensures reliable operation of the City's technology environment under the IT Director.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in IT/CS/MIS or Cybersecurity with supervisory IT experience and hands-on skills with Windows Server,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, MIS or cybersecurity with at least three years of supervisory IT experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Experience with networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
• Professional customer service and technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the IT Director in planning, implementing, and maintaining the City's technology infrastructure.
• Oversee part-time and seasonal IT staff; performance evaluations, scheduling, training, and mentoring.
• Manage the City’s Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID licensing.
• Coordinate IT projects and ensure reliable operation of the technology environment.
