Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks an IT professional to support and monitor multi-discipline information systems, including applications, databases, and network infrastructure in Helena, Montana.

You will analyze, design, and evaluate IT tools, implement backups and data recovery, troubleshoot complex issues, and help plan new platforms and technology integrations to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT/CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of IT experience in systems administration or related roles.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft OS, Windows Server, Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex system issues.
• Effective written and verbal communication for non-technical staff.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and digital workspace/storage technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support IT and systems infrastructures.
• Analyze, plan, design, and evaluate IT tools.
• Back up to respond to user requests for system needs or upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision.
• Apply standards for computer operations and ensure hardware/software compatibility.
• Administer, test, and maintain operating systems and related software.
• Schedule, perform, and monitor backups and data recoveries.
• Perform root cause analyses and production-system monitoring.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies.
• Create and maintain system documentation and user guides.
• Plan and design new platforms and integrate new technologies.
• Conduct cost analysis of new platforms and technologies.
• Create and review disaster recovery plans to reduce downtime.
• Review problem management register and identify actions.
• Apply scripting to automate related tasks.
