Auria seeks an IR Plume Mod/Sim Systems Engineer to support the MSV-TASD program on-site at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on modeling and simulation development for threat scenarios, with data engineering and rigorous validation of large datasets.

Expect collaboration across teams, proficiency in Python and MATLAB, and foundational knowledge of aerothermodynamics and flight dynamics. Travel up to 10% and an active U.S. security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM with 2 years of technical experience, or 0-2 years with a Masters.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret clearance to start.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages.
• Foundational understanding of aerothermodynamics, radiative transfer, fluid dynamics, and molecular spectroscopy.
• Foundational understanding of data analysis concepts.
• Basic understanding of flight dynamics and aerodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering and Validation.
• Handling large-scale, multi-dimensional array datasets.
• Validating simulated data against measured test or flight data.
• Analytical rigor and thorough verification of large, technical datasets.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics, including log parsing and error identification.
• Root-Cause Analysis to isolate issues in simulations and data.
• Read and fix legacy in-house tools and scripts (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++).
• Team collaboration and clear communication; ability to work in schedules and timelines.
