Job summary

Auria Space is hiring a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer I to support MSV-TASD. On-site at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, you will work on high-fidelity threat modeling, data validation, and MATLAB/Python tooling to improve simulation accuracy.

You will collaborate with the TSE/TASD team, handle large datasets, and perform rigorous verification and validation while leveraging Linux-based computing environments. Security clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM with 2+ years of technical experience or MS with 0-2 years of experience
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret clearance required to start
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or other scripting languages
• Foundational understanding of aerothermodynamics, radiative transfer, fluid dynamics, and molecular spectroscopy
• Foundational understanding of data analysis concepts
• Basic flight dynamics and aerodynamics knowledge

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering and Validation
• Handle large-scale, multi-dimensional datasets
• Validate simulated data against test/flight data
• Perform thorough verification and validation of datasets
• Troubleshoot and diagnose data/solution issues
• Conduct root-cause analysis to isolate errors
• Read and fix legacy code in-house tools or scripts (Python, MATLAB, C++)
• Parse logs and stack traces to identify failures
• Identify and fix silent data errors
