Job summary

Qualis LLC in Colorado Springs is seeking an IR Plume Modeling Engineer to develop high-fidelity threat missile signature data packages for use in various M&S tools. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision to meet time-critical delivery schedules.

The candidate should have a STEM degree with related experience or a STEM Master’s and experience in M&S data analysis, IR signature modeling, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of experience.
• Experience with technical analysis of M&S data sets.
• Experience with Verification and Validation of M&S data.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience with threat model phenomenology focusing on Infrared signatures.
• Research IR signature predictions and simulation models.
• Work with the team to complete data production for MDA Ground Test Modeling and Simulation.
• Coordinate with TSE engineers for software requirements of threat modeling tools.
• Ensure quality production of threat missile data according to stakeholder needs.
