Job summary

Auria Space is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer to support the MSV-TASD program at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. You will join the IRHB Missile Modeling team, focusing on infrared threat modeling and high-fidelity simulations for MDA BMDS efforts.

The role requires collaboration with threat stakeholders, analysts, and engineers, with up to 10% travel and a current Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline, or 0–2 years with a Masters.
• Strong math, physics and/or engineering background.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret security clearance required to start.
• Experience with technical analysis of data sets.
• Familiarity with basic thermodynamics.
• Experience with scripting/automation languages (Python, Bash, MATLAB).
• Experience with Verification and Validation of data.
• Solid understanding of modeling and simulation methods and processes.

Responsibilities

• Capture and document requirements for infrared signature representation of missiles.
• Develop infrared hard body missile threat models for various tools/frameworks.
• Collaborate with threat stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to ensure high-fidelity representations.
• Contribute to data production for MDA Ground Test Modeling and Simulation events.
• Work with software engineers to improve automation and tools for efficiency.
• Support the team on defined schedules to back MDA events.
• Engage in V&V of deliverables and maintain thorough documentation.
