Job summary

Auria is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer to support the IRHB missile threat modeling effort at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves developing infrared threat models, collaborating with software engineers and stakeholders, and ensuring rigorous verification and validation of high-fidelity simulations.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a STEM field with 2+ years of relevant experience (or 0-2 years with a MS), strong math/physics background,

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience preferred or 0-2 years with a Master’s degree.
• Strong math, physics or engineering background required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret clearance required to start.
• Experience with data analysis and modeling verification/validation.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience with threat model phenomenology focusing on IR signatures.
• Develop IR signature predictions and simulation models.
• Support data production needs for MDA Ground Test Modeling and Simulation.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers and stakeholders to develop IRHB models for new systems.
• Ensure V&V of deliverables and align with project schedules.
