Job summary

Qualis LLC is seeking an IR Plume Modeling Engineer in Colorado Springs to develop high-fidelity threat missile signature data for use in M&S tools. The role requires modeling expertise and the ability to work with standard engineering algorithms to accurately portray missile phenomenology during flight.

The position is on-site at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, with no remote option. Candidates must have a STEM degree (Bachelor’s with 2+ years or Master’s with 0) and an active DoD Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2+ years of related experience, or a STEM master’s with 0 years.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Experience with M&S data analysis and validation.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or MATLAB.
• Ability to work on-site daily at Schriever Space Force Base.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity threat missile signature data packages for M&S tools.
• Apply engineering and mathematical algorithms to portray missile phenomenology.
• Collaborate with TSE engineers on software requirements for threat modeling tools.
• Meet time-critical delivery schedules and produce reliable documentation.
• Work independently and as part of a product delivery team.
