Job summary

Radiology Partners is seeking an Office Coordinator to support Interventional Radiology operations by handling referrals, coordinating procedures, and managing scheduling. The role requires familiarity with radiology workflows and confidential patient information.

The position emphasizes professional communication with patients, physicians, and insurance providers, along with strong organizational and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Radiology and/or medical office experience preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
• Positive, cooperative attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort working with hospital patient information systems and radiology workflows.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review referrals for Interventional Radiology procedures and consultations.
• Coordinate referrals, outpatient procedures, follow-up visits, and scheduling.
• Obtain prior authorizations when required, maintain accurate and confidential patient records, and distribute consultation reports.
• Communicate professionally with patients, referring physicians, hospital staff, and insurance companies to facilitate a prompt, helpful scheduling process.
• Demonstrate knowledge of IR procedures and medical terminology along with strong computer, communication, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, judgment, and confidentiality skills.
