Job summary

Pueblo Medical Imaging seeks an Admin II – Interventional Radiology Coordinator to guide patients through scheduling and preparation for IR procedures. You will coordinate with radiologists, hospitals, referring offices, and insurance providers to ensure a smooth patient journey from referral to procedure.

Ideal candidates have 2 years in medical offices, strong insurance verification knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical office experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Nevada insurance plans and requirements preferred.
• Experience with medical records and medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and RIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate Interventional Radiology procedures in hospital and outpatient settings.
• Communicate with patients regarding medical history, preparation, and scheduling protocols.
• Obtain and review required medical records, prior imaging, orders, and supporting documentation.
• Complete insurance eligibility verification and prior authorization requirements accurately and timely.
• Schedule, coordinate, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments; communicate updates to staff.
