Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Field Engineer with a passion for quality construction to serve as the primary technical resource on major industrial electrical projects.

You will manage contract requirements, develop plans, coordinate submittals, and design raceway layouts using CAD and 3-D modeling. A BS/BA in Engineering and 1–3 years of related construction experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Design required or comparable construction experience.
• 1–3 years of related construction experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, understand and administer contract requirements with emphasis on construction documents, field orders and close-out.
• Develop and implement job-specific safety, scheduling, document control, cost codes and material plans.
• Design and layout raceway and cable tray systems using CAD/3-D modeling.
• Plan cable pulling and coordinate with purchasing for submittals.
• Maintain daily reports, RFI's, timesheets and progress reports.
• Coordinate with design engineers and other contractors to resolve field issues.
