M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Field Engineer who will serve as a primary technical resource on major industrial electrical construction projects. You will work with project teams to manage documents, safety plans, and scheduling.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, developing plans, maintaining daily reports, coordinating submittals, CAD/layout design, cable routing, and progress tracking. Strong communication and 1–3 years of construction experience required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Design.
• 1-3 years of related construction experience.
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and database software.

Responsibilities

• Review contract requirements and manage documents, change orders, and close-out.
• Develop job-specific safety, scheduling, and document-control plans.
• Maintain daily reports, RFIs, timesheets, and purchasing documents.
• Coordinate submittals and procurements with Purchasing Dept.
• Design raceway and cable tray layouts using CAD and 3-D modeling.
• Plan cable pulling and calculate tensions.
• Track installation progress and report weekly quantities.
• Inspect field work against project specs and quality plan.
• Maintain schedule with customers and field management.
• Interact with customers to foster long-term relationships.
