Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Field Engineer who will be a primary technical resource on major industrial electrical construction projects. You will support contract administration, planning, and field execution to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires 1–3 years of construction experience, strong CAD/3-D modeling skills, and solid communication and organizational abilities to coordinate with customers, engineering, and field teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Design is required.
• 1–3 years of related construction experience.
• Proficiency with CAD and 3-D modeling software; strong spreadsheet/database skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and administer contract requirements with emphasis on documents, change orders, and close-out.
• Develop job-specific plans covering safety, scheduling, document control and cost codes.
• Maintain daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and related paperwork.
• Perform material take-offs and coordinate submittals with Purchasing.
• Design and layout raceway and cable tray systems using CAD/3-D models.
• Plan cable pulling activities and calculate tensions.
• Manage the Envelope System for work-tracking and progress reporting.
• Resolve field issues with design engineers and coordinate with other contractors.
• Act as a technical resource on electrical codes and project specs.
