Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Field Engineer to serve as a primary technical resource for major industrial electrical construction projects.

This role focuses on managing construction documents, RFI's, change orders, and coordinating with design engineers to resolve field installation issues. You’ll use CAD and 3-D modeling to layout raceway and cable tray, plan cable pulling, and track progress weekly. BS/BA in Engineering and 1–3 years construction experience required; strong communication,

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Design.
• 1-3 years of related construction experience.
• Experience with construction documents, scheduling, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Review contract requirements and manage construction docs, change orders, and close-out documents.
• Develop and implement job-specific safety, scheduling, and document control plans.
• Maintain daily reports, RFIs, timesheets, and other project documents.
• Coordinate submittals, procure equipment, and manage materials to site.
• Design raceway and cable tray layouts using CAD and 3-D modeling.
• Plan cable pulling activities and calculate pulling tensions.
• Track installation progress and support project scheduling.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical codes and standards.
