Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a Docketing Analyst to manage IP docket portfolios for trademark matters, including domestic and international filings. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with the IP team.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; college degree or paralegal training beneficial.
• Minimum five years of progressive Intellectual Property docketing experience in Trademark.
• Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark and TTAB matters.

Responsibilities

• Read, sort, and distribute incoming mail from USPTO and other agencies.
• Ensure daily docket clearance and maintain filing logs.
• Provide guidance on complex docket questions.
• Maintain accurate docket database and generate reports.
• Save client documents to PATTSY; upload images to matter-level PATTSY page.
• Process abandoned and/or inactive files.
• Maintain electronic global docket calendar for domestic/international patents, trademarks, and inter-parties.
• Maintain confidentiality with attorneys, staff, and clients.
• Ensure accuracy of docketing with CFR requirements and client instructions.
• Maintain e-files through IP Management System/iManage integration.
• Lead audits (US pair inconsistencies, bibliographic audits, PTO audits).
• Lead mass updates and assist with intakes when needed.
