Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP seeks a Docketing Analyst to manage IP docket portfolios for USPTO and international matters. You will ensure accuracy, timely distribution of materials, and confidentiality across the docket team.

The role requires five years of trademark docketing experience and strong knowledge of docket software, with opportunities to lead audits and large-scale updates in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Intellectual Property docketing experience in Trademark.
• Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark and TTAB matters.
• College degree beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read, sort, and distribute incoming mail from USPTO and other agencies.
• Ensure daily docket clearance and maintain filing logs.
• Provide guidance on complex docket-related questions to IP attorneys and staff.
• Maintain an accurate docket database and provide reports as required.
• Save client and legal documents to PATTSY; upload images to matter-level PATTSY page.
• Process abandoned and/or inactive files.
• Maintain and distribute an electronic global docket calendar for domestic/international patents and trademarks.
• Maintain confidentiality with attorneys, staff, and clients.
• Ensure docketing accuracy per CFR and other requirements.
• Maintain e-files through IP Management System/iManage integration.
• Lead audits: US pair inconsistencies, bibliographic audits, PTO audits.
• Lead mass updates and assist with intakes.
