Job summary

Metrohm USA, the North American division of Metrohm AG, is seeking a Field Service Specialist with ion chromatography expertise to serve Florida and portions of southern Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina. The ideal candidate is based in the Tampa Bay area and travel-ready.

You will perform installations, calibrations, certs, maintenance, and train customers while collaborating with Sales and Product teams to ensure a seamless experience.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience repairing ion chromatography or related laboratory instrumentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Strong time management and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory and occasionally outside the region.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, certifications, preventive maintenance for benchtop IC systems.
• Support customers on-site and remotely (via phone, email, Teams).
• Partner with Process Analytics teams to support IC instruments in advanced process systems.
• Manage a dynamic schedule across a multi-state territory.
• Build strong customer relationships through expert service and communication.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Product teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
