Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Pick & Prep associate to prepare products and deliver engaging guest experiences in the department. You will actively demonstrate guest service, tell stories about Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, and Local items, and perform knife skills as part of the Pick & Prep offerings.

You will operate the Pick & Prep area following strict merchandising and safety standards, ensuring product quality and sanitation while assisting with receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to actively engage guests.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate knife skills and willingness to learn multiple tasks.
• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work with supervision and follow directions.
• Ability to operate computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service and storytelling about products, highlighting Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and Local benefits.
• Show knife skills to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards and maintain sanitation and safety.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service tasks as needed.
• Make PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
