Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Pick & Prep associate to engage guests through product preparation and sampling, and to provide outstanding service in our Pick & Prep area. You will demonstrate knife skills, assist with product preparation, and ensure quality and sanitation standards are met while helping guests understand the benefits of Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, and Local offerings.

Role requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, along with teamwork, strong

• Able to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Willing to learn multiple tasks and knife skills.
• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Able to effectively communicate with, and take direction from supervision.
• Able to work well with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• Personally demonstrate superior guest service and storytelling about products, highlighting Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and Local aspects.
• Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed to meet standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
