Job summary

Lowes Foods is looking for a Pick & Prep team member to actively engage guests, prepare products, and showcase services with storytelling about the benefits of Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, and Local offerings.

You will work in a fast-paced department, demonstrate knife skills, maintain sanitation, and ensure product quality while providing outstanding guest service and assisting with merchandising and stocking.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to actively engage guests.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate knife skills.
• Demonstrate effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service, including storytelling about products and benefits.
• Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
