Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Pick & Prep team member to actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and suggestive selling. You will demonstrate knife skills, maintain product quality and operate the Pick & Prep area to standards.

Responsibilities include storytelling about fresh, healthy, seasonal and local products, ensuring sanitation and safety, stocking and assisting guests with service and merchandise.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others.
• Able to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Reading and understanding information/directions.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Willingness to learn knife skills and other job requirements.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to read and follow directions and work with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling and suggestive selling.
• Provide superior guest service at all times, including storytelling about products and benefits (Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal, Local).
• Demonstrate knife showmanship to highlight Pick & Prep services.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the department according to Lowes Foods policies.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
