Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Pick & Prep team member to actively engage guests, prepare products and showcase storytelling about Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and Local options. You will operate the Pick & Prep area, maintain high standards, and assist with stocking and guest service to ensure a superior shopping experience.

The role emphasizes knife skills, safety, teamwork and the ability to follow directions, while contributing to a friendly, engaging atmosphere for customers in-store.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Must actively engage guests and have fun with customers.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information/direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate knife skills and learn multiple tasks.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to take direction from supervision and work with computers/scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, sampling and selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service with product storytelling and benefits.
• Showcase knife skills and services offered in Pick & Prep.
• Operate Pick & Prep area according to standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in department.
• Perform product prep, receiving, stocking, merchandising and guest service as needed.
• Make PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
