Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Pick & Prep associate to engage guests with product preparation, sampling, and storytelling that highlights fresh, healthy, seasonal, and local items.

You will operate the Pick & Prep area, maintain product quality and sanitation, and perform duties across prep, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and guest service. Must be 18+, capable of lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to engage guests and have fun.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Demonstrate knife skills and learning multiple tasks.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation and sampling.
• Conduct storytelling about products highlighting benefits such as Fresh, Healthy, Seasonal and Local.
• Demonstrate knife showmanship for Pick & Prep services.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the department.
• Perform product prep, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and guest service.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
