AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure accurate setup of services. You will work with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements and eligibility, ensuring a smooth intake process.

This role suits detail-oriented individuals who excel in patient communication and cross-team collaboration within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in a relatable field required.
• Experience in administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, or call center preferred.
• Healthcare organization experience a plus but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate referrals, verify eligibility, and document interactions.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and collect payments when applicable.
• Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer requirements and offer alternatives.
• Work with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and enter referrals within set timeframes.
• Collaborate with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams to facilitate intake.
• Navigate multiple EMR and online systems to manage documentation and scheduling.
• Support team operations and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
