Job summary

Community Action in Aroostook, Washington and Hancock Counties is seeking an Intake Specialist to assist individuals and families in connecting to resources. You will conduct intake, assessments, referrals, service coordination and follow-up, entering data into software systems and maintaining files for eligibility.

You will schedule appointments, interview customers, and collaborate with the team to meet needs.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least two years of experience working in a social service-based program.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, and customer service abilities.
• Competencies: Able to perform basic math and apply procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Obtains household information from customers and records data into software systems.
• Gathers information, assesses needs, prioritizes, and builds rapport with customers.
• Identifies services and resources; acts as liaison and arranges services with providers.
• Performs data entry and keeps up-to-date with software changes.
• Maintains records, handles inquiries, schedules appointments, and follows up.
• Provides team support as needed.
