Job summary

Acap Me in Maine seeks an Intake Specialist to help individuals and families access resources. You will conduct interviews, assess needs, and coordinate referrals with the agency team.

You will enter data into software, maintain client files for eligibility, schedule appointments, and follow up to ensure service access. Strong communication and organization are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in a social service-based program is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Obtains household information from customers and records data in software systems.
• Identifies services and resources, coordinating referrals and follow-up.
• Performs data entry and maintains client files for eligibility.
• Schedules appointments and directs customers to appropriate personnel.
• Works with the team to provide a comprehensive approach to needs.
• Assists team members as needed.
