Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Oklahoma City is seeking an Intake Coordinator to ensure patients have insurance coverage for infusion services and to relay information to the AristaCare Health team.

The role involves obtaining authorizations, coordinating with insurers, providers, and patients, and maintaining confidentiality. You will participate in team huddles to ensure safe, timely referrals and smooth transitions to home or ambulatory infusion settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year of intake experience or training in home health care.

Responsibilities

• Communicates the patient’s insurance benefits and coverage to the referral source.
• Communicates the proposed treatment plan to insurers, agency staff, referral sources, patients and family.
• Obtains all necessary authorizations from the patient’s insurance provider and documents the information.
• Participates in the Patient Referral Huddle Process to review referrals and status.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines for patient information and AristaCare Health data.
• Maintains positive relationships with internal and external AristaCare Health staff.
• May assist referral sources with arranging medical supplies or nursing services for safe home transition or ambulatory infusion.
• Communicates with Marketing, Account Executives, and Pharmacy Staff about insurance plan changes.
• Completes all mandatory regulatory training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
