Amerita, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks an Intake Coordinator to join the Intaketeam in Oklahoma City. You will process referrals, gather patient information, and coordinate with Sales and Pharmacy to ensure timely admissions and clear insurance coverage communication.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, accurate data entry, and confidentiality in a fast-paced home infusion setting, supporting multiple departments daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or some college preferred
• Experience working with all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance companies
• Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures
• Understands the scope of services Amerita can provide
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Process referrals received from referral sources.
• Ensure that all required documentation has been received to process the referral timely
• Ensure Intake referral checklists are complete
• Enter patient demographic, clinical, and insurance and authorization information into the computer system
• Coordinate with other departments including Sales, Access and clinical staff regarding the status of the referrals and any authorization requirements and out of pocket cost required to be collected before delivery
• Ensure that insurance verification is completed and patient has accepted financial responsibility prior to initial shipment.
• Complete documentation of progress notes in computer system
• Notify patients/caregivers regarding insurance coverage and payment responsibilities
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
