Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is seeking an Intake Specialist to manage intake for The Workforce Connection across Boone, Stephenson, and Winnebago counties. You will enter participant data into IWDS, conduct orientations, and assess eligibility while maintaining confidential records.

You will also support outreach efforts, collaborate with Career Planners, and build partnerships with local agencies to promote services in the community.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and relevant work experience that aligns with the duties of this position.
• Ability to work with individuals with barriers to employment and communicate with diverse groups.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake functions and enter participant data into the IWDS database.
• Host orientation sessions and administer tests and assessments.
• Review applications for eligibility and prepare verification evidence.
• Assign clients to Career Planners based on reporting criteria; assist with recruitment.
• Develop partnerships with community agencies to promote Workforce services.
• Participate in meetings, maintain confidentiality, and respond to requests promptly.
