Job summary

Goodwill Gulf Coast is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for employees, participants, callers, and visitors. You will conduct comprehensive intake, explain services, and connect individuals with appropriate internal and community resources.

Responsibilities include onboarding new hires, maintaining accurate data in the agency's databases, providing clerical support, and coordinating referrals to program staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related customer service, administrative, human services, or program support experience preferred.
• Experience conducting orientations, interviews, assessments, or participant intake preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with databases or reporting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides intake, orientation, and administrative support to the Mission Services division.
• Serves as the first point of contact for information regarding services.
• Conducts comprehensive intake to identify eligibility for programs.
• Enters intake information and referrals into databases.
• Prepares and distributes documents using Microsoft Office.
• Conducts new hire orientations for staff per procedures.
• Receives and routes calls and messages.
• Gathers and maintains visitor logs and assists with office tasks.
• Maintains confidentiality of participant and staff information.
