Job summary

Career Team in Metairie, LA seeks an Intake Specialist to process and track applications for WIOA services on-site. You will be the frontline for inquiries, coordinate across intake portals, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

Strong communication, confidentiality, and multitasking skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s degree or higher, plus proficiency in MS Word/Excel and the ability to learn new databases.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and knowledge of community resources.
• Ability to learn databases and software systems, MS Word and Excel at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling into WIOA services.
• Share information on programs and respond to inquiries via phone and social channels.
• Collect, respond, and initiate tracking for all submitted applications.
• Prepare monthly reports on calls and touchpoints and track program participation.
• Maintain knowledge of workforce activities across the Greater Memphis area and ensure confidentiality.
