Job summary

Point32Health, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to handle authorization requests, data entry, and referrals for the utilization component of medical management.

You will coordinate with providers, document interactions, and support care coordination across departments. Ideal candidates have an Associate degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years in a business or healthcare setting, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Associates’ degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Two plus years of experience in a business environment.
• Experience in managed care/health industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication demonstrated in college or work.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming authorization requests from providers via fax, portal & phone.
• Creates an event or transaction by lines of business for UM teams to review.
• Contacts provider offices for further details on clinical information.
• Researches member eligibility and primary care selection.
• Documents all calls, admissions, referrals, and maintains logs.
• Represents Medical Management at relevant activities and meetings.
