Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group in Champaign, IL, is hiring for a full-time Insurance Sales role at our on-site branch. You’ll be compensated with base pay plus incentives and full benefits, with ramp-up income support during the first months as you build your pipeline and client base.

You will own sales and ongoing service of insurance products, memberships, and financial services, while engaging with the community to generate referrals and grow revenue.

Qualifications

• Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
• Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
• Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer automated business environment
• Insurance experience is helpful—but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own the sale and ongoing service of ACG‑branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a high‑traffic branch
• Uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, grow insurance portfolio
• Overcome objections, negotiate effectively, close sales, and meet or exceed sales targets and incentive plan expectations
• Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk, identify coverage gaps, recommend solutions, and issue policies
• Build and maintain strong rapport with members and clients, respond to inquiries with professionalism
• Actively engage in local branch and community events to prospect and expand referral networks
• Identify cross-sell opportunities into Travel and Financial Services to maximize member value
