Kin Insurance seeks an Insurance Counsel - Forms to lead drafting for personal auto or property forms as the company expands into new states and products. You will anchor a line, advise on form wording, and handle regulator interactions.

You will join the Forms team in Legal & Compliance, reporting to Senior Insurance Counsel. You’ll own your line’s drafting and provide guidance on complex state law questions.

Qualifications

• JD required and licensed to practice law
• 5+ years of policy form drafting experience
• Experience drafting personal lines policy forms for multiple states
• Ability to translate state statutes into policy language
• Experience responding to regulator objections on form filings
• Experience advising internal partners on coverage interpretation and policy wording
• Track record of independently delivering complete forms packages

Responsabilités

• Research state statutes and regulations and translate into compliant policy wording
• Draft responses to regulator objections and represent Kin before regulators
• Provide legal advice on coverage interpretation to internal teams
• Draft state and product forms packages ready for filing
• Review drafts and escalate novel state law questions to Senior Insurance Counsel
• Build base forms and state kits for personal auto and property lines
• Establish drafting standards and reusable language for faster packages
• Deliver internal training on policy forms and regulatory expectations
• Serve as backup drafter for the other line of business
• Identify legal risks in product designs before form drafting
