Kin Insurance is seeking an Insurance Counsel - Forms to lead drafting of policy language for new states and products. You will own your line (personal auto or property), provide regulatory- and guidance-focused legal advice, and ensure filing-ready forms while collaborating with Claims, Product, and Customer Experience teams.

You will also review AI-assisted drafts for regulatory compliance and help build reusable state form packages to accelerate launches across Kin’s footprint.

Qualifications

• JD required with 5+ years of policy form drafting experience.
• Experience drafting personal auto or property policy forms for multiple states.
• Ability to read state statutes and regulations and convert to policy language.
• Experience drafting responses to regulator objections on form filings.
• Experience advising business stakeholders on coverage interpretation and policy wording.
• Track record drafting complete forms packages independently from research to filing-ready

Responsabilités

• Research state statutes and regulations and translate into compliant policy wording.
• Draft responses to DOI objections on forms and advocate Kin's position with regulators.
• Provide legal advice on coverage interpretation and form wording to internal partners.
• Draft complete new state and product forms packages, ready for filing.
• Perform first-pass legal review of forms and escalate novel state law questions.
• Build and maintain countrywide base forms and state kits for your line of business.
• Establish drafting standards and reusable language for faster state packages.
• Design and deliver internal training on policy forms and regulatory expectations.
• Serve as backup drafter for the other line of business.
• Identify legal risks in proposed product designs before drafting.
• Review AI-assisted drafts for accuracy and set guardrails for use.
• Maintain and update forms packages in response to statutes, regulations, and DOI bulletins.
