Qualifications

• JD required for legal practice and insurance filings.
• 5+ years of policy form drafting experience.
• Experience drafting personal lines forms for multiple states.
• Ability to read state statutes and convert requirements into policy language.
• Experience drafting responses to regulator objections and advising on coverage interpretations.
• Track record of delivering complete forms packages independently.

Responsibilities

• Research state statutes and translate into compliant policy wording.
• Draft responses to insurance regulator objections and advocate for Kin's position.
• Advise internal partners on coverage interpretation and form wording.
• Draft state and product forms packages ready for filing.
• Review forms and escalate novel state-law questions to Senior Insurance Counsel.
• Maintain and update form packages for changes in statutes and DOI bulletins.
• Establish drafting standards and reusable language for faster state package production.
• Deliver internal training on policy forms and regulatory expectations.
• Serve as backup drafter for the other line of business.
