Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks a skilled Instrumentation Designer II to support the development of electrical design deliverables for power generation, renewable energy, BESS, data centers, and industrial facilities. You will develop SLDs, wiring plans, and 3D models while coordinating across disciplines and adhering to project standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of electrical design/drafting experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit), and familiarity with BIM coordination and field

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical design/drafting experience.
• Experience in power generation, EPC, industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical drafting principles and MV/LV distribution.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit; experience with Plant 3D, Navisworks or BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise electrical design deliverables for projects (SLDs, plans, grounding, lighting).
• Create and coordinate 3D electrical models and clash coordination.
• Support conceptual through construction phases and prepare MTOs.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and instrumentation teams.
• Assist field verification, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
• Adhere to drafting standards and project procedures.
