Job summary

SERVPRO Industries, LLC is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create and manage high-quality learning content across SERVPRO’s Schools of Learning. You will design on-demand modules, ILT, blended programs, and microlearning to strengthen franchisee and HQ capability.

Reporting to the Director of Instructional Design, you will translate operational standards into clear objectives, collaborate with SMEs, and ensure content aligns with SERVPRO’s brand and learning strategy while

Qualifications

• 3+ years of instructional design experience in corporate training or franchise environments.
• Experience designing multi-modality learning (on-demand, ILT, blended).
• Experience with SERVPRO Schools preferred.
• Proficiency with authoring tools and LMS basics.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality learning content for on-demand modules, instructor-led training, blended programs, and microlearning.
• Translate operational standards, SOPs, and business needs into measurable learning objectives and structured learning experiences.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, and multimedia assets.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business goals, performance gaps, and learner needs.
• Partner with SMEs (HQ and franchise) to validate content accuracy and ensure alignment with real-world operational practices.
• Collaborate with Field Capability to ensure ILT content supports evolving learning objectives.
• Ensure all content adheres to SERVPRO’s content standards, brand voice, and instructional design standards.
• Maintain version control and support content lifecycle management in partnership with the LMS Architect & Governance role.
• Conduct QA reviews of courses to ensure clarity, accessibility, and instructional integrity.
• Design assessments, knowledge checks, and capability validation tools that measure learner progress and operational readiness.
• Work closely with Learning Experience to ensure content is properly structured, tagged, and optimized within the LMS.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to scope, plan, and execute content development projects.
• Incorporate learner feedback, data insights, and operational changes into content updates.
• Stay current on instructional design trends, adult learning principles, and edtech tools.
