Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an experienced instructional designer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic eLearning, instructor-led, blended, or performance support training solutions for Ryder employees.

You will consult with subject matter experts to develop effective objectives and content, design proposals, and implementation strategies while staying current with adult learning principles and instructional technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, education, instructional design technology, or related area or minimum 8 years equivalent work experience in designing and developing eLearning, instructor-led, blended or performance support training materials and/or solutions.
• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• Five (5) years or more education or business environment. required
• Three (3) years or more assessing, designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions, and producing e-learning materials. Experience with Articulate 360 Suite. required
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies advanced required
• Knowledge of at least one authoring/development tool such as Storyline is required advanced required
• Knowledge of client collaboration to develop training strategies and solutions advanced required
• Knowledge of needs analysis for training/non-training advanced required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel (intermediate) required

Responsibilities

• Creates learning content and testing to support major training and assessment initiatives, aligned with Ryder’s goals and competencies.
• Consults with subject matter experts and business owners to develop instructionally sound objectives and strategies.
• Designs and develops learning project proposals.
• Ensures instructional design solutions match objectives and outcomes; communicates ideas to gain consensus.
• Stays current on emerging learning trends and best practices.
