Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to engage with existing customers, increase product sales, and upsell opportunities. You will manage orders, explain stock statuses, and collaborate with outside sales to meet targets and customer needs.

You will qualify opportunities from marketing and other sales teams, prepare quotations, and monitor open orders to ensure on-time delivery. A base salary plus commission is offered, with emphasis on proactive selling and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of sales/sales administration experience is required or highly beneficial.
• HS degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and process orders via email/phone, confirm items, and communicate delivery dates.
• Upsell related items and leverage customer history to increase order value.
• Collaborate with outside sales and national accounts to develop opportunities.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and follow up quotations to secure orders or analyze losses.
• Monitor open orders and backorders; notify customers of statuses and dates.
• Maintain backorder and expediting reports and communicate updates to customers.
• Report industry trends, pricing, and customer feedback to management.
