Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to engage with existing customers, increasing sales of Wesco products and services. You will obtain, create, and up-sell orders, aiming to improve customer satisfaction and add value to their buying experience.

You will collaborate with outside sales to meet goals, identify opportunities passed from marketing and national accounts, and contribute to process improvements while working in a team.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors’ degree preferred
• 2–4 years sales or sales administration experience
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
• Ability to travel 0%–25%
• Opportunity to earn commission in addition to base salary

Responsibilities

• Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
• Increases orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checks customer’s buying history.
• Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes.
• Prepares, generates, and follows up on quotations to secure orders or determine reason for loss of order.
• Reviews open customer order reports and acts on open items, including those at risk of late delivery.
• Maintains distribution system backorder reports, expediting reports, and notices.
• Reports industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management.
