Job summary

CSS is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to engage with existing customers, drive order growth, and enhance the buying experience. You will handle orders via email and phone, upsell related items, and collaborate with outside sales to meet goals.

This role includes commission potential tied to performance, requires 2-4 years in sales, strong Microsoft Office skills, and ability to travel up to 25%. A high school diploma is required, bachelor's preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required;Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years in sales or sales administration;competent and productive contributor.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask, work in a team, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Willingness to travel 0–25%.
• Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts.

Responsibilities

• Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and delivery dates.
• Increases orders by suggesting related items, leveraging customer buying history and explaining features.
• Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes.
• Prepares and follows up on quotations to secure orders or analyze losses.
• Reviews open order reports and acts on items at risk of missing delivery dates.
• Maintains backorder reports, expediting notices, and customer notifications.
• Reports industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
