Job summary

CSS in Cheshire, CT is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to interact with existing customers and increase sales of products and services. You will obtain, create, and up-sell orders, aiming to grow the current book of accounts while enhancing customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with outside sales to meet goals, qualify opportunities, and contribute to continuous process improvements. The role includes a commission-eligible component and involves travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors’ degree preferred.
• 2-4 years sales experience.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to travel 0% - 25%.

Responsibilities

• Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment.
• Increases orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer history.
• Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes.
• Prepares, generates, and follows up on quotations to secure orders.
• Reviews open customer order reports and takes action on open items.
• Maintains distribution system backorder report and customer expediting notices.
• Reports industry trends, pricing and customer feedback to management.
