Job summary

Deering Lumber, a division of US LBM Holdings, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support new and existing customers, provide product information and quotes, and assist outside sales. The role involves handling orders, coordinating deliveries, maintaining stock, and building strong customer relationships.

The position offers pay between $26.00 and $28.00 per hour, with a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years in the building materials field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in building material industry.
• 1-3 years of inside sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, orders, prices and quotations, complaints, and scheduling of deliveries and installations.
• Initiate telephone calls to customers to generate sales.
• Enter work orders, credits, returns, return authorizations, pick tickets, and service requests; file paperwork accordingly.
• Coordinate purchase and delivery of special products; obtain pricing specifications, uses and availability.
• Manage project schedules by coordinating with outside sales, jobsites, and assigned customers.
• Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
• Research credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
• Check back orders and resolve outstanding issues; solve billing problems and compile data for closing.
• Handle special orders and advanced pricing; assist with pricing and price lists.
• Develop and grow professional relationships with customers.
• Resolve jobsite issues and customer problems.
