Job summary

Deering Lumber in Biddeford, Maine seeks an Inside Sales Representative to help with new and existing customer sales, provide product support to outside sales, and prepare quotes and product dimensions. You will handle orders and pricing inquiries, coordinate deliveries, and develop strong customer relationships.

The role requires 1-3 years in the building materials field or inside sales, excellent communication, and a commitment to accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in building material industry preferred.
• 1-3 years of inside sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, orders, prices and quotations.
• Initiate calls to customers to generate sales and obtain orders.
• Enter work orders, returns, price lists, and service requests.
• Coordinate delivery of products and manage project schedules with customers.
• Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and back room.
• Research credits, returns, and late payments as needed.
