Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder to code hospital inpatient accounts under the supervision of the Manager of Coding and Data Quality. The role ensures accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for appropriate reimbursement, research, statistics, and regulatory compliance.

The coder will review records, query providers when needed, and maintain AHIMA and HIPAA standards while supporting department goals. Strong attention to accuracy and deadlines is required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ICD-10-CM and CPT training required.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS and MS-DRG/APR-DRG methodologies preferred.
• Formal coding credentials (CCS/CIC/CPC/RHIT/RHIA) required or must be obtained within 1 year.

Mansioni

• Analyzes inpatient cases and assigns ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for reimbursement and compliance.
• Queries providers and consults with CDIS for documentation issues as needed.
• Monitor daily work queues to ensure timely coding and billing processes.
• Maintain high accuracy to prevent denials and billing errors; respond to metrics feedback.
• Review medical records to extract data for code assignments.
• Communicate with hospital departments on billing and registration issues.
