Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder to accurately code hospital inpatient accounts under supervision. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for reimbursement, research, and compliance in a fast-paced environment using EHR and coding references.

The role requires knowledge of MS-DRG/MCC/CC, APR-DRG, and adherence to AHIMA standards and HIPAA. Healthcare experience, strong analytical skills, and timely communication with clinical staff are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes inpatient cases and assigns ICD-10 diagnostic and PCS codes for reimbursement and compliance.
• Reviews records to extract pertinent information for code assignments and DRG determinations.
• Maintains accuracy to minimize denials; meets established timelines for coding workflows.
• Communicates with departments to resolve billing and registration issues and responds to queries.
• Follows AHIMA guidelines and HIPAA privacy requirements; uses coding references and EHR tools.
• Participates in ongoing education and DRG alignment meetings with CDIS.
