Job summary

Boston Medical Center Health Systems in Boston, MA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the inpatient behavioral health unit (5 West). The role is part-time, 24 hours weekly, days 7a–7:30p, with focus on delivering evidence-based nursing care and coordinating with the care team.

Requirement includes MA RN licensure, a diploma/ASN/BSN (BSN preferred), BLS, and 1+ year of behavioral health RN experience. EHR proficiency is valued.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in MA.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• 1+ years of Inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in inpatient behavioral health, including assessment, planning, intervention and education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
